Byron LeBlanc, CISA, CISSP, Information Security Analyst for Bombardier Aerospace has accepted the position of Interim President of ISSA Montreal Chapter. Byron brings many years of experience and insight into data security applications and process controls at Bombardier. We look forward to Byron's ensuing effort to promote a collaborative environment and successes for ISSA Montreal Chapter.

ISSA Montreal Chapter was founded on the principals of providing a collaborative local forum for information security professionals, managers, and students with interest in Information Security.

The Montreal business environment consists of many national and international leaders such as Bombardier, Securitas Canada, George Weston, Compagnies Loblaw, Onex, Electrolux, Alcan, Postes Canada, RBC Groupe financier, BCE (Bell Canada Entreprises) and Kimberly-Clark to name a few. Additionally, Montreal is home to the 2nd largest French University in the world outside of Paris, Universite de Montreal as well as McGill University.

Please note that a general meeting of our membership will be called during the month of February, 2008 to discuss an elected slate of officers and agenda for 2008. Our website, events planning and resources will be discussed at that time. Our launching date is being planned for March, 2008.
